Dry Fruit Chikki is a crunchy and wholesome Indian sweet that is a favorite during winters and festivals like Makar Sankranti, Lohri, and Diwali. Traditionally made with jaggery and nuts, this energy-packed treat is a healthier alternative to sugary sweets.
š Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 cup jaggery (grated or powdered)
- 2 tbsp Kisaansay Chambal Desi Cow Ghee
- ¼ cup Kisaansay Kashmiri Mamra Almonds (chopped)
- ¼ cup Kisaansay Kashmiri Walnuts (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Kisaansay Nashik Black Raisins
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds

1. Prepare the tray
Grease a flat plate or tray with a little ghee and keep it ready.
2. Roast the dry fruits
Lightly roast almonds and walnuts in 1 tbsp ghee until aromatic. Set aside with raisins.
3. Make jaggery syrup
In a heavy pan, heat jaggery with 1 tbsp ghee on low flame until it melts and reaches hard-ball consistency (drop a little syrup in cold water, it should harden instantly).
4. Mix in dry fruits
Quickly add roasted almonds, walnuts, raisins, and sesame seeds to the syrup. Stir well so everything is coated evenly.
5. Set the chikki
Immediately transfer the mixture to the greased tray, spread evenly, and flatten with a rolling pin.
6. Cut & Serve
Once slightly cooled but still soft, cut into squares or bars. Let it harden fully before serving.
